3. February's employment numbers come out tomorrow. Watch out for blood spatters.
Seasonal jobs will be especially DOWN (i.e. construction) and any attempt to put a rosy spin on it will be doomed to failure in a tsunami of bad nws.

4. I noticed an article in local newspaper insert on how to help your career survive a recession.
It was odd since usually these inserts are about education, jobs, careers, etc. Not to how have your career survive.

6. Think of the doctoral theses that will be written in the future about our times!
People will read the history books and just shake their heads.

That's assuming that we make it through and there still are history books in the future.

9. The regulars over in the Economics Forum have been warning us for quite some time...
all DUer's should make regular visits to that forum, in my humble opinion.

14. I dreamed last night that the bank foreclosed on a very nice double-wide and
somehow we were able to acquire it. But when I went inside the previous owners' things were still in there. They knocked at the door and I let them in to get their stuff, even though we were breaking some kind of rule against it. (What else could I do? I felt terrible for them and they needed that crib back for the baby!)

Anyway, it goes to show 2 things. Even my sleeping mind is aware of the foreclosure problem, and I will never have a nicer house except in my dreams. LOL
