The proverbial big S is about to hit the fan
Student loans join the credit crisis list.
Lenders are bailing out.

According to NBC News five states have canceled student loans.
George has really fucked up big time.

1. I was just reading an article from The Detroit News
after I saw this on NBC Nightly News. My state is one of the five. We are in terrible shape here in Michigan.

9. It is definitely a recession here in Michigan.
It has been for about 2-3 years now. I hope it gets better before my 15 year old daughter who is a sophomore has to go to college. One good benefit of the slumping housing market is my 26 year old daughter and her boyfriend just bought a nice house for $65,000. This same house sold in 2006 for $135,000. if that is any indication of our falling home values. Hopefully, they will be able to make some money on it when times get better. It is their only chance at accruing any assets since it is so expensive to afford our daily lives.

3. Whaddya mean George has fucked up?
He and his pals don't need student loans. Frees up more money for upward distribution now that po' folks aren't getting their college welfare money.

6. Great, just great
I've got stepkid number 4 entering college this fall. We just moved half-way across the country so my husband could take a job to help pay the gap between loans and college tuition for the first three. :grr:

7. can't we call the IMF and get the universities privatized?

8. Call anyone but the IMF
Your dollar will devalue faster than Bush can destroy a thriving country.
