Kentucky Lawmaker Wants to Make Anonymous Internet Posting Ilegal

By Kellie Wilson
E-mail | Biography
Kentucky Representative Tim Couch filed a bill this week to make anonymous posting online illegal.

The bill would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site.

Their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted.

>>I say that this is fine as long as all of Hannity's callers, Rush's callers, Laura Ingraham's callers and Michael (WEINER) Savage's callers have to say their full name, city and phone number on the air with each call.

Cordially,

Craven Morehead

2. Because the first amendment is so 18th-20th C.
This is what happens when people run for office who have an imperfect understanding of high school civics.

7. I believe this would primarily make it easier for those with power, wealth and the one way
corporate media megaphones to attack the messengers as opposed to the message or messages. They basically would love to transform us in to the new corporate media dominated by those at the top with with the power and wealth, at the expense of those with the ideas.

I believe they're afraid of true democracy or the closest thing to it in existence today, that being the Internet.

8. What about COPPA?
That is expressly forbidden by COPPA. At least for site users under thirteen. I guess my duaghter would have to kiss her Barbie Girl chat rooms good-bye.
