The UAW has walked out on American Axle talks...
I just heard this from my dad. Talks started up about 2 hours ago. This is definitely not looking very good for AAM employees, and the city of Detroit in general...if anyone cares anymore.

I wish more were concerned but, as so often happens, they cry about the horses days after they leave the stable. I watched it happen when I started posting foreclosure rates a few years ago. No replies and now everyone is crying about it.

5. There's about to be no money in the city proper here in Detroit.
We have our own mayoral scandal (perjury no less) going on as well.

6. One more kickety...
Still no talks... Still not looking good... GM releases statment that it is having a major affect on their sales (which could be b.s. because their sales are down anyway)... But, on the up side, I'm sure a lot of housecleaning (i.e. painting and maintenance) have been done
