And that is why it is so important to eavesdrop on every American. Especially the Americans that could potentially be a threat to them. Dems complacent, my ass. Blackmail and extortion is how it's done folks.
I wonder what case he wouldn't drop for them?

5. They were tapping the ESCORT SERVICE... NOT Spitzer |
|
Sheesh...the escort service has been under RICO investigation.
Are all wiretaps now suspect?

12. I don't have any sympathy for people who can't keep a monogamy vow |

Spitzer is a selfish idiot. On top of this, he has professionally gone after people who are apparently just like him-- into hookers. He doesn't deserve to serve the public.

Usually the investigation is the end-result of someone done wrong...the story untold here. Who tipped off the FBI and why. Maybe its personal or political, but in the end its Spitzer's stupidity and arrogance that will be his downfall.
I'd be more concerned about blackmail as that you rarely hear about. In that case, then the FBI should be investigating in a different direction. But I suspect that Spitzer got caught up in the modern day version of a "whorehouse shakedown"...and if he's indicted and convicted of breaking a law, he should step aside...especially since he really should have known better, he was a lawyer and prosecutor. No passes on illegality...if we're going to demand accountability, it's nonpartisan.

13. If he was wiretapped, you can be sure that it was with a warrant. |
|
Why? Because it's going to court, whatever his status and role.
On the other hand, it pays to remember that whenever a warrant is issued to wiretap one person, all the people that person talks to are also wiretapped. Why, an Alaskan politician was caught on a wiretap and in hot water last year (I wish I could remember his name ... Stevens?). Was *he* wiretapped? No. He talked on the phone to the guy who *was* wiretapped.
