Look. Nobody is clean.
Not you. Not I. Not even Mr. Clean Spitzer. But especially not politicians.

It's how they handle the truth that counts. And from what I see more Repukes deny wrongdoing than Democrats. And for some reason, Repukes get into more trouble with same sex than Democrats.

1. That is ridiculous. Not all male politicians treat their wives like crap and cheat on them
I can name many who have never done anything like this or at least none who have been caught. Spitzer knew what he was doing and knew what would happen if he got caught. No double standards in my book. I'm not sure he should resign over it as its just a sex scandal but who you are and who you hold yourself up to be is important in regards to being able to lead people. Hypocrites aren't respected. And yes, Repubs are worse the Dems at this but all politicians should be held to a high standard.

2. I am. I manage to not break the law or commit highly unethical acts. I suppose
I should be able to expect that from my political leaders, but I guess not.

3. I disagree. I am sorry but it is not too much to ask to have a man

who has publicly railed against prostitution and prostitution rings to keep it in his pants. Dem or Repub., it has nothing to do with how they handle the truth and everything to do with hypocrisy. Saying one thing and doing another will always get a thumbsdown from me.

6. It's the hypocracy.
the "crime" is a sin, at best - unless you speak out against - or prosecute - the same acts you're guilty of (w/ sex and drugs).

And I'll never understand why they always deny it first. It just makes 'em look worse. At least Spitz had the good sense to come clean on the day of.
