What Does Having A Near Perfect Score On The SAT Have Anything To Do..... |
|
with Spitzer breaking the law? I've heard this mentioned about 5 times on MSNBC now. How stupid.
Also - with respect to the wiretap - If the Feds didn't wiretap they wouldn't have caught Spitzer breaking the law. So I guess that would have been ok then for Spitzer. As long as he wouldn't be caught - it's ok to break the law.
Also - is Spitzer just a 'john' or is he the leader of this prostitution ring - like MSNBC is making it sound. They are also making it sound like he was involved with 'money laundering' as well.
And the Repugs don't like this guys 'holier than thou' attitude. This I guess was before this charge of prostitution. So am I to believe that they didn't like the fact that Spitzer was prosecuting wrongdoers - that made him 'holier than thou'?

2. Arranging an interstate tryst is problematic. |

If you call a whorehouse in NY and arrange for them to send a whore to you in DC you have violated, perhaps only on a technicality, the federal Mann Act.
But it is unlikely that Spitzer will get nailed, pun intended, on that, and his quitting was probably all they were after.

3. Some people are good at taking tests. |

I am good at it. It can be a useful skill.
But tests don't indicate a person's judgment or attitudes.
I was speculating about the 'not getting caught' part, too. He is doing the right thing by owning up to his mistake. But I hate this. WHY did he have to do this?

Don't you need to 1099 someone if you pay them over a few hundred bucks?
