This afternoon we could all use something positive: So |
|
I just want to say that although I have not been around all that long or have all that many posts.
I really enjoy DU and the people here have all treated me with respect and not called me names.
I really like this site and I am really hoping for good things this November.
This nation will survive but it will do better with a Democrat at the helm.
Every one please have a good day, go home and hug your significant other and children (if you have any).
Thank again for DU.

A lot of people would have wandered in to this place (tsk, the state we're in these days) and run away screaming! We are not really at our best right now.
I'm glad that no one has "landed" on you yet.. This may happen at anytime, so beware. . .and remember, we hardly EVER speak with one voice.. So if one DUer really gets on your nerves.. there are bound to be bunches of others that you'll "mesh" with just fine.
So Welcome!

6. Amen; occasionally when I'm having a particularly bad day |

I'll call my 80 year old mom and do a little whinging. She listens a bit and then tells me to stop, reminds me to count my blessings (and there are many), suggests I consider all the people around the world who are less than fortunate than I am, and orders me to get busy helping others. Always good to hear that message from someone with eight decades of experience. Things are bad right now, but I'm hopeful that good people will step up and help, whether they're presidential candidates or individual citizens. Thanks for taking the time to suggest taking a different perspective.
