The irony: I saw the Spitzer story here before I left work
and listened to this replay of Democracy Now on the drive home.

Any relationship here?

NY Bill to Declare Abortion a Fundamental Right for Women is Top Legislative Priority for Gov. Spitzer

Pro-choice activists are gathering around the country today to mark the National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers. In Albany, New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is addressing the Family Planning Advocates of New York State. Shortly after taking office last year, Spitzer introduced a bill that would declare abortion a fundamental right for women. The bill would also ensure abortion remains legal in New York should the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade.

4. No link.
Men who use prostitutes commonly vote against abortion. Know why? Because a desperate, pregnant teenager will then have to flee her home to find an illegal abortion, going to places where she has neither money nor friends, and she can be simple prey.

Anti-abortion laws are always defacto pro-prostitution laws, ensuring an ever-fresh and abundant supply of helpless teenage girls.

7. It would depend on the timing
of the investigation and the release of the indictments. I could see where there might be a connection but if so, they must have already known or suspected when they started the investigation. It also depends on how the investigation was run. Did they get a warrant to wiretap for an existing investigation or did they wiretap and then find a wrong-doing to pursue.
