Heidi Fleiss on the Eliot Spitzer scandal: LOL |

says she is not surprised by the New York governor's alleged link to a prostitution ring. "What's the mystery?" she asks. "If the guy wants to get laid, he wants to get laid." http://www.newsweek.com/id/121325?from=rss:rofl:

1. It's always the zealots who go down |

Does it amaze you, though, that people like this get caught? You know, it's like the thing with Larry Craig . It's always the zealots that go down. -- That's the best part of the interview.

2. the only thing that really surprises me about these "scandals" |

is when the dutiful wife stands beside her husband during the mea culpa press conference. I'm sorry, that's beyond what I'd personally be willing to do.
Do politicians' spouses sign a confidentiality agreement or something? It certainly is not a normal human action.

5. Clean, Easy, Convenient... |

The question I keep hearing asked is why someone of Spitzer's power and personality would have to pay for sex. If you think about it, it's "served" him well until now, and I suspect it does for many of the powerful and wealthy. Many of these people are "efficiency" experts or on tight schedules. They can't waste time in a bar or take a chance of an office scandal...they want it now and they can afford to have it the way they want it. This was the way it was in ancient Eygpt and no different today.
Note how many times we see/read of a politican spotted in a nightclub or at some junket with either another woman other than his/her wife (Vicki Iseman anyone?) or the hint, hint, wink, wink (David Drier)...not only didn't Spitzer want his private affairs public, he paid a premium, or so he thought, to keep it that way. He got had.

Maybe the "call girl" was for his wife - not him?
