Are you all keeping tabs on all the self-righteous indignation?
I took a little spin around the dial last night, paying particular attention to FAUX News and that bloviating clown Fred Barnes.

Just a few items of note:

--Multiple comments (with more than a hint of glee) over the "HYPOCRISY" of it all

--A total rehash complete with all sordid details of the "Clinton affair"

--Pretzel-like contortions attempting the throw the whole matter squarely onto the lap of the entire Democratic Party, and dire warnings that this will carry over into the election in November

I also took particular note yesterday that barely 24 hours into the scandal, with skeletal facts available, but plenty of circumstantial evidence and innuendo at ready disposal the New York state GOOPERS were ready for impeachment proceedings.

AlRIGHTY THEN! I have duly noted all of this and will be fully prepared, armed and ready for the next time (and you know it's coming) a repubbie gets caught with his/her fingers in the honey pot, and/or practicing Tai Chi moves in a public men's room stall...:eyes:

4. Comical, isn't it.
A comment last night amused me, from KO. Here's a bunch of rethugs who want to impeach a Dem, or at least want him to resign, for sex (with a woman). The remark from KO? "Isn't this where I came in?" referring to Clinton and the ridiculousness of it all.
Same as it ever was, and the rethugs are gleeful, totally ignoring the history of anyone in their party regardless of whether it was sex with prostitutes, men, kids, hey! Who cares? This is a Dem! :eyes:

5. Mark Foley, GOP. David Vitter, GOP. Larry Craig, GOP. Then there's...

"I got your giant sucking sound right here, mister."

So, whatever happened to Gov. Siegelman's illegal prosecution?

...among other things.

7. Hypocrisy, thy name is media.
I believe we are all living in a Shakespearean farce. The media, pundits, analysts, so-called journalists, all are in a feeding frenzy. It is all about them, not the main actors or the public. They should get into major league baseball. They are so good at throwing stones, they could learn to throw a spitball. It has become, to the media, a war between political personages and prostitution. Do all the couples living together without marriage feel they are prostitutes? I don't think so. This business of legalizing prostitution has now arisen. Well, it is legal now--it is called marriage. If you want out of marriage you can call it larceny. It is darned expensive to divorce. There are so many holier-than-thous in the media now it has become its own soap opera. I wonder how many of them are hiding something. We will never know. Frankly, I don't care if Mr. Spitzer used the services of a prostitute, it is absolutely none of my business. I care more about rising health costs, the price of gasoline and food and utilities prices rising by the minute. When, if ever, will the media address those problems?

Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 08:26 AM by jus_the_facts
....it'll take a literal revolution of more than one to make that happen. :nopity:

9. Let's not forget about Newt Gingrich ... a real class act ...

... for such a scumbag. He was screwing around on his wife while she was fighting cancer.
Eventually he told her he wanted a divorce while she was in her hospital bed.

Link: http://www.realchange.org/gingrich.htm#deadbeat

Several newspapers are now reporting that Newt Gingrich is dating and basically living with Callista Bisek, a "willowy blond Congressional aide 23 years his junior." Biske, 33, has been spending nights at Gingrich's apartment near the Capitol and has her own key. In an amazing act of hypocrisy, Gingrich was apparently dating Bisek all during Clinton-Lewinsky adultery scandal, even as he proclaimed family values and bitterly criticized the President for his adultery.

This is hardly the first time Newt has cheated, either. "It was common knowledge that Newt was involved with other women during his marriage to Jackie. Maybe not on the level of John Kennedy. But he had girlfriends -- some serious, some trivial." -- Dot Crews, his campaign scheduler throughout the 70s. One woman, Anne Manning, has come forward and confirmed a relationship with him during the 1976 campaign. "We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, 'I never slept with her.'"

Kip Carter, his former campaign treasurer, was walking Newt's daughters back from a football game one day and cut across a driveway where he saw a car. "As I got to the car, I saw Newt in the passenger seat and one of the guys' wives with her head in his lap going up and down. Newt kind of turned and gave me this little-boy smile. Fortunately, Jackie Sue and Kathy were a lot younger and shorter then."

The hospital visit wasn't the end of it, either. Jackie had to take Newt to court to get him to contribute for bills, as the utilities were about to be cut off.

... and he hasn't changed a bit to this day. He's still the same typical rethuglican hypocrite lowlife.

10. Any pundit who is not talking about our dead and maimed children, our
hungry, uninsured children, the torture and slaughter in Iraq, the financial downfall of the U.S., the crimes of the U.S. in Louisiana, Africa, South America, and many more - and spends their time politicizing sex when it's one Party only is sewer scum.

You can't make it up - a Republican media who whitewashes their own using all their forces to politicize Dem sex. That's what they're greatest at.

demanding his impeachment by the law of the land and the provisions in the Constitution; one must certainly throw it back in their faces in light of BushCo, much less Vitter etc.

They're framing themselves as authorities. Don't buy it. Laugh them out of position.
