Dolphin rescues beached whales ... great story.
Heartwarming story about a New Zealand dolphin who rescues beached whales ...

"The pygmy sperm whales had repeatedly beached, and both they and the humans were tired and set to give up, he said. But then the dolphin appeared, communicated with the whales, and led them to safety."

1. I should eat more Dolphin.
Especially brain since it'll make me smarter. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/naturalworld/page2.shtml">Saved by Dolphins.

It's shameful the excesses we as humanity have taken with the natural world.

3. Damn. That dolphin has more 'human' decency and integrity
than most people, considering they won't go out of the way for anyone.

I disagree with Mr. Smith on one point, though.

He definitely should pat the dolphin.

Scientists aren't devoid of feelings.

Positive reinforcement and praise was due
and given to a well deserving dolphin.

:D

6. This is cool, Seabiscuit. I hope
should something like this happen again, someone is prepared to record the sounds, maybe that can be used in the future with a boat where there is no dolphin.

8. Kind of makes one believe in a "higher" power...not religious, but the ancient spiritual kind

:hi:

One never knows...

If I assume animals feel pain and pleasure and love, and act accordingly, and then it turns out my assumption was wrong, I will have done no harm. However, if I assume that animals don't have
feelings, and the it turns out I was wrong, I may have caused immeasurable damage.

10. That's a great story, and it left me wondering:
What would news be like if all the good news a journalist could dig up were reported, with bad news just a fraction of the whole?
