I don't care about Spitzer. I do care if there was a set up.

To be up-front, Spitzer can go to hell. His year in office was a disaster. His only major accomplishment was a workers' compensation "reform" that screwed workers. That's it. He supports making poor people pay to drive into Manhattan. As AG, he didn't investigate 9/11. He supported the invasion Iraq. Until yesterday he was one of pro-war Clinton's most important backers. He had a hypocritical "law and order" stance, including against prostitution. And he was a famously arrogant prick.

I welcome Governor Paterson.

That doesn't change the fact that when something like this happens, if there is a story behind it, I want to know it. Ignorance is not strength.

Republican lobbyist claims he knew in advance of Spitzer downfall

Why did the banks rat out Spitzer? What was he thinking?!

1. The Bank Secrecy Act of 1970

All I want is for all criminals, on both sides of the aisle, including the warmongering, widow making administration to get the hell out of our government.

Today Spitzer did the right thing...something the Republicans are incapable of doing.

I do believe that the bank reported suspicious activity, as it is required to do by law, I then think the Feds used the very same wiretapping expansion that Spitzer pushed for to monitor the club. Were they peeing their pants with glee at the time? Probably.

That Spitzer could be so arrogant and stupid blows my mind.
