Bush "Envious" Of Soldiers Serving "Romantic" Mission In Afghanistan
"I must say, I'm a little envious," Bush said. "If I were slightly younger and not employed here, I think it would be a fantastic experience to be on the front lines of helping this young democracy succeed."

"It must be exciting for you ... in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You're really making history, and thanks," Bush said.

Meanwhile, over 40 Taliban insurgents were killed in a battle in Southern Afghanistan, and six Afghani civilians were killed in a suicide bombing aimed at an American convoy.

3. The guy is shameless. He's also f**king ignorant if he really
believes we are stupid enough to swallow this shit. He went AWOL when he had HIS chance to serve in the Texas Air National Guard.

on children.

7. Well, Halliburton IS moving to Dubai.....
And Cheney still has that house on Kish, right across the water,
so maybe Boy George can move to Kabul after his term is done, and
be in the neighborhood of his friends, and no longer need to be
envious of those fortunate souls lucky enough to be in Afghanistan.

When First Lt. Nathan Krissoff of Reno, Nev., was killed in Iraq a year ago, his father, Bill, an orthopedic surgeon, searched for a way to honor his son's sacrifice. The 61-year-old decided to enlist in the Navy Medical Corps in the hope of being assigned to Iraq.

Lt. Col. Judy Bishop is about to prove a point: that you're never too old to serve your country.
Bishop, who is a nurse, is going to war at age 63.

Old Soldiers Back On Duty (ready reserve forced back into duty)

"I need to serve my country and the call has come out, so I am doing that," says Chief Warrant Officer Margaret Murray, who did her active duty back in the '60s.

She's 55, and 4 feet, 8 inches tall. Her M-16 is almost as big as she is, but that didn't stop her from qualifying as a marksman this week.

As for the job thing, Shrub, I say we fire you so you can fulfill your dream.

Did everything he could to avoid them then.

I can't decide whether he's totally delusional or he believes we're deep dish stupid.

Yeah, yeah - not an either/or.
