I don't think the unpopulariity of the war and Bush are as much of a millstone around his neck as most here seem to.

I don't understand people who condemn the Bush Years but are willing to consider someone who applauded every bonehead move Bush made. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

6. It's not rational. Millions of people who believe... |
|
the same things that you and I believe (Bush sucks and the war sucks) will nonetheless troop to the polls in November and vote for more of the same. I've been telling people this for months. Presidential elections are not like senate or house races where bread and butter "issues" usually take precedence. Prez elections are about image and mythology. McCain is very strong on both.

I mean look at the turn out in the two primaries - people kind of know, even if they pretend not to.

unpopularity will win it for the Dems is wrong. If that were the case McCain would be stuck at 35% and either HRC or BO would wipe the floor with him.

"The lavishly-furnished custom Boeing 727 airliner (727PX) which ferried Senator John McCain on four occasions during his Presidential run in 2000 also flew Saudi Royals out of the U.S. right after 9/11, carrying an entourage of Saudi Royals from Las Vegas to London six days after the 9/11 attack in a controversial operation later scrutinized by the 9/11 Commission."
