Whether You're For Obama Or Clinton - It Doesn't Matter
We're NOT GOING TO MAKE IT.

There is NOT GOING TO BE AN AMERICA EITHER OF THEM CAN SAVE.

In 10 Months, MORE DAMAGE than anyone can imagine, could be done to this economy, and world stature.

The problems will NOT GO AWAY in 10 Months, when either would take office. It will take MONTHS, and probably YEARS & YEARS to fix the damage.

Neither of them is equipped for this task. Possibly very few would be, a supremely intelligent and caring person like Gore or Buffett or Soros perhaps, but they won't want any part of the mess.

So it doesn't really matter. This is all window dressing. They will try to hold things together, but if they can't, it's all going to fall apart.

Once they lose the stock market, IT'S ALL OVER.

5. No, they won't be able to fix it
but they can make a start and we can hope it won't get so bad that it will be a one term presidency.

Too much damage to repair quickly, but reversible. Just have to get someone who is not a dunce and is not surrounded by thieves, to do the right thing.

12. They're All Surrounded By Thieves Though
Do you really think either of them is beyond corruptability?

I think it's going to take someone beyond reproach, to fix things.

Mr. Obama might be the lesser of two evils, but I still am very, very worried, that he's not the one capable of fixing the situation we'll face.

That is, once people let reality sink in, which even here, apparently it hasn't.

Perhaps instead of depressing people, it's time to go out and buy some more gold and euros, since only optimism is allowed here.

6. Glad To See Everyone Is Open To Facing Reality
I figured people here might be able to open their eyes to the potential crises our country faces, thanks to this administration, and the selfish, short-sightedness of Congress.

Surprised to see Kool-Aid drinkers here too. Just because you think optimistic & happy thoughts, doesn't mean reality is going to follow through. And in case you haven't been paying attention, things are getting worse, not better, and HE is not going anywhere for another 10 MONTHS.

Makes me even more fearful.

11. Thanks For The Lecture
And to think that all that education, and years of work in econometric theory were unnecessary because all i needed was for you to tell me the sky is falling! All that time wasted!

Listen up: I need no Kool-Aid to have a different opinion than you. And those, like you, who think that an alternative opinion means i'm a Kool-Aid drinker is revealing their own inability to think critically. Not everyone with a different opinion has been brainwashed. To even think this is the case, is just plain stupid

9. It's not all over
But as I said yesterday:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=230&topic_id=2385&mesg_id=2385

The next President has to figure out how to manage a diminished America - one that is no longer a superpower, and no longer has the financial, political and economic clout it once did. It's not the end of the world, but America has to redefine itself under the new global realities.

This election is about electing someone to do that (or to pretend that the reality is different and make matters worse.)

10. If Gore, Buffet or Soros are so caring why would they not care enough to want to fix the mess?
You seem to be undercutting your own strage argument.
