1. Store owner wants to see i.d's for Hispanic customers....
ya know, If I lived in that area, I would totally go to that store and speak with an accent- then give him shit for asking me for an i.d.

Wow - I always thought that it was incorrect to say it that way.
apparently it is correct.
I still think it sounds awkward

9. Yes, it does sound awkward but there really isn't much any other way to
say it. "He doesn't speak English well" is equally proper grammatically but doesn't flow much better.
