Poll question: Stocks will fall to below 10,000 by the time 1/20/09 arrives
It looks like Booshe will go out with a whimper, with an unfinished war, the stock market at or below the level he took over at, a massive depression looming thanks to his handling of the credit crisis, and the price of oil at or close to THREE times the price per barrel it was in 2001.

So this is the poll.

12. The Repukes are GREAT for the wealthy.
Because after all is stolen and plundered, do you know what will still exist?

The Wealthy.

They won't be affected by this or suffer one IOTA.

I think if there's anyone who needs to "finally learn" something, it would be the American people that Republicans in office are not good for THEM or anything else.

I'm pessimistic they will, though . . .

16. If things get bad enough they will learn
for about two generations... that is how long FDR and Progressives remained popular in politics

If the publicans loose power for that long I have hope I won't have to fight this again in my lifetime

7. if you KNOW
that the market WILL be at /under 10k by 2009

(and nobody knows) then you can EASILY profit by liquidating longs and buying DXD(a fund that goes up 2% for every 1% the dow jones falls - double inverse DJIA etf)

but realistically speaking, nobody knows.

if you are so confident, take the trade.

fwiw, i trade every single day and spend 6 hrs minimum glued to 6 monitors, and *i* don't know it's inevitable at all

if you are so confident, you could make BANK if you are right.

note: *if*

10. The problem is I don't know
I'm in the "tween" phase now and it would be foolish for me to pull my money now. My options (which are the things that I want to send the kids to college on) are not up until 2010, so I'm going to have to gamble that they will recover and then some by then.

19. their philosophy,
keep the young igorant, they do not want fresh bright young minds, they want to control all of us. Sickening I hope to see each of thugs pay dearly for what they have done to this country and us, and our image around the world.

9. 4th Choice.....New All Time Highs....Dow to 20,000 (no joke!)
This leg down can go as low as about 11500 (outside chance of 10800) then on to new all time highs 20k.
On SPX 1200-60 (outside chance of 1150ish) then on to new all time highs.

That is how I am playing it (with stops of course)

(not advice, make your own calls)
