The key is that with the magnifying glass that distorts and warps, no Democrat will be seen for the good man or woman they really are. I actually know people who have met the Obamas - their little girl took "dance" with the younger Obama girl a few years ago. People need to realize that these politicians are people - and many are exceptionally good people. If Edwards had Obama's delegate count, we would be hearing about those people one or two steps from him having flaws - with the inference that they reflect on Edwards - when they likely don't.

Should we have thought that Jimmy Carter's apparent sobriety and goodness was not likely given that he was known to have spent time with his brother Billy?
