Fort Bend educator resigns after Peeping-Tom arrest

SUGAR LAND — A Fort Bend Independent School District assistant principal was arrested Thursday after police spotted him looking into the window of a home has resigned, school officials said today.

Jon J. Jones, was taken into custody about 6 a.m. Thursday in the 14000 block of Erin Court, said Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph.

In a released statement, school district officials said Jones' resignation was effective today. Jones had been with the school district for 17 years.

Jones, 39, of Sugar Land, was charged with disorderly conduct, Adolph said.

Adolph said police received a complaint from resident that a man had been looking into residential windows.
