DUers are writing GOP speeches |
|
We don't mean to. Do we?
Every time I think about writing something scurrilous about a candidate or campaign, I first envision Karl Rove rubbing his pasty hands together as he giggles with glee. Are we really so naive as to believe that THEY don't read our websites? Granted, he and the nasty little boys who dream about growing up to be just like him are fully capable of inventing whatever they need to -- but why should they, when all they have to do is drop in here to pick up boatloads of ammo that we are so willingly stockpiling?
So here's what I've decided to do: support my candidate. That's it. Talk about his/her qualifications. List the reasons he or she has my support. Leave everyone else out, because I'm only talking about the person I'm supporting. At least until after the August convention. After that, we'll need to pull together to put a Democrat in the White House. We need to stop pissing on each other if we are to have any hope of working together to make that happen. We need to work FOR our candidate at least as hard as they are going to work AGAINST our candidate. And we can hardly do that when we're so angry at each other that we can't stand to be on the same planet.

14. Whether Rove and repubs come here, your post is typical of why I bother less and less. |
|
Juvenile posts lacking any content or meaning whatever seem to prevail more and more often around here. I will hand it to you for having come up with more creative invectives than I can, but your post reflects as much depth as any freeper post. I think most 11 year olds manage to insert more meaningful content into their vituperative utterances.

7. If they actually stop by here for material, this confirms my opinions of them. |
|
That they are no-talent, unimaginative ass-clown hacks who couldn't write a successful skit for Chuck E. Cheese animatronics.
But that's just me.

9. Happy to give you the 5th recommendation, and a big thank you, too |

Democrats need to get over the notion that it's more important to knife your fellow Democrat in the back than it is to defeat the evil 'pukes in November. The 'pukes are single-minded, focused, and steely-eyed; they will march in lockstep, vote in unison, and could possibly (forbid it Almighty God!) win the presidency for McCain while Democrats sit at home sulking and pouting because someone who agrees with their point of view 99.9%, but not the all-important .1%, is the party's nominee.

13. Probably too late for that -- see the reaction here to Clinton supporters |
|
abandoning KOS. There are lots of people here who really could care less how other Democrats feel unless they support Obama. We are more and more inhabiting Obama Underground, not Democratic Underground -- and yet somehow Clinton is supposed to be a polarizing figure and all Obama folks are great uniters. Ya, right. At this rate, after half us of (or even if it's just as low as 40%) in this country are discouraged by these tactics, one has to be delusional to think we still stand a chance to win the WH.

11. We need to stop attacking |
|
each other and the 2 candidates. If we can't stop the attacks and the vitrol how are we going to win in November? Attacking each other for supporting Obama or for supporting Clinton is NOT going to help the election. We are dividing ourselves and that is going to allow McCain's moving van to roll up to 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue in November and we will all wonder what happened. Neither candidate is all that bad that we couldn't live with them as President...as long one of these Democrats win the election. Tearing each other apart is not going to get people running to the election booths.
