WARNING: Possible New Brand for Repubs |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 02:05 AM by snot
They gain control; they loot; they move on.
We've seen the pattern many times now. Something is or could be lucrative (e.g., the Red Cross) or otherwise advantageous (e.g., the media): they gain control: they loot or deploy it to their own purposes; and as soon as the rest of us start to figure it out, they move on.
Ok, sometimes it's hard for them to start completely over. But, e.g., the Carlyle Group -- as soon as we figured out what it was, they moved on. Starting a new corp., a new investment co. or whatever, is easy as pie, and cheap.
Now, they may have miscalculated sufficiently that they may actually have managed to trash the Republican brand irretrievably.
If so, guess what: they'll move on. Same players under a new, "third party" name.
I'm not sayin' it'll happen for sure; just sayin', let's be ready if it does happen.

because I know a lot of Republicans who want to go back to what the party used to stand for. I think these "ne-cons" wouldn't stand a chance against both Democrats and traditional Republicans.
Whatever happens, we need to guard against those in any party who are motivated by greed and ideologies of selfishness.

I think it is Dlc.com
There is a "lovely" article on our need to examine Iran and Iranian potential for having nukes.
Reminiscent of George W and his old "weapons of mass destruction" rant.
Oh, the more things change the more they remain the same.

3. I don't suppose they'll pick an obvious name like "locusts", will they? |
|
Actually they're more like cockroaches. They've spread far and wide and it'll take decades to get the infestation under control. But we'll never wipe them out; they feed off the worst in people and that'll be around as long as humans are.
