Of course not. Hard to see a more glaring example of the double standard of the MSM than this. There was no research done about Huck's sermons, that I recall. Certainly nothing approaching the level of scrutiny brough to bear on Wright's sermons, and whether Obama was in a pew listening when Wright said something "contraversial".

Huckabee was a Baptist minister for years. He was actually running for President, not merely the pastor for someone running. And he still may be a VP candidate.

1. It's sensationalism and, quite frankly, I think there is a little racism involved.
How else do you explain it? I've heard equally outrageous remarks from white pastors - "Catholic church is a whore" comes to mind - and it's covered for a news cycle and gone. This is a story that's more interesting because there's the side story - unspoken story - of demonizing black men. Be afraid of the black men. They go nuts in church and you don't want them in the White House. By the way, this is the first and only time I've thought or said that racism is playing a part in the campaign. If it wasn't, the news stories might also include the reasons for Wright's rage. But that wouldn't serve the purpose. The man might not be as scary as you want him to be if you knew his past.

11. I know. The past few days I've been beside myself.
Sometimes I wish I had never pulled my head out of the sand and gotten involved. It seems like life would be much more pleasant if all I had to brood about was who was getting kicked off American Idol.

3. Did he have tapes
or post them on the net? If so, then they should be gone over but if not, I don't see what can be done.

4. If he gets picked for VP, have no doubt that his sermons will be checked word for word.

7. I do.
He was running for President until a couple of week's ago. There was NO scrutiny of what he said during his many years as a minister in sermons. It's a gross double standard and you have nothing to base your opinion on that they will be scrutinized if he's picked as VP.

8. Haven't heard them mention a thing about Clinton's membership in the Fellowship aka "The Family"
That is a HELL of a lot worse, in context, than anything Obama's former minister has said.
