Do You Remember All Those Missing RNC/Whitehouse E-Mails
I wonder if it's occured to anyone that the NSA should have a copy of every one of them.

4. The NSA, the recipients, backup discs
Nothing in cyberspace ever dies. I know that. You know that. The miracle seems to be that they think they're fooling us.

10. ,, and that congress is swallowing their BS without doing anything.
More of a crime than a miracle, but it is astounding how illiterate they are when it comes to technology.

15. Illiterate? Terrified about what will show up
is more like it, because even if they don't show up there, those emails will mean they'll have to do something about the situation, something that will be unpopular with one group or another.

5. Not only the NSA but the recipients as well
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 02:43 PM by MissWaverly
If it's anything like my workplace, the replies just get tagged on to the original e-mail so it becomes like a diary almost with the time and date of each little snippet rolled into 1 continuous e-mail. Okay, maybe the WhiteHouse was following some crazy e-mail archive/non-archive system what about those in the DOJ and the other federal agencies they were sending to.

7. Not to mention Sidley Austin!
And recipients spread throughout the government ...

Every e-mail has at least one recipient .....

13. and to the bugman
he was their arm twister of any straying GOP Rep, much of this was used to hammer down
support for a particular pet project of the prez so he would have gotten much of it.
Later when the Fitz was active, he would have gotten it as incentive to
squelch congressional investigation of any WH wrongdoing.

11. L.C. you are quite correct
there is the recipient, the cc'd and the blind copy cc's, I am sure that all DOJ stuff
would have been sent to Gonzo with a cc to Goodling, Taylor and the OLC.

19. Exactly. SO, their excuse "LOST" is completely bogus if they are not looking everywhere
and turning up lots of the "lost" ones.

This is truly obvious to everyone, I'm sure.
The Catch-22 of our Junta-esque Executive is "they are the cops."

As someone in Guatemala disclosed to me long ago, regarding illegalities,
"The People know it is the government that does these things."

D'oh! Give me a break! Geeez!
and a bunch of exasperation expletives.

And, which e-mails does Sidley Austin have? Other attorneys too, every attorney to ever do business with the White House, should be made to look for them, anyone at all in the address book if a government address, etc. etc.
What is so damn dense about this?

24. isn't the quote "Who will watch the watchmen"
yes, indeed, not looking everywhere, how about not looking anywhere, this whole
thing from day one is built on plausible denial-ability.

It's all there awaiting a Democratic President willing to expose it. Sadly I don't think either candidate would.

deep sixing their hard drives and those of their staff before they blow town;
we may have some real evidence.

17. Yep, same ones that are held at Ft. Mead, Maryland. Its just that Mead is Government owned.
You'd think the Congress could actually get inside of the place and look around, what with 'we the people' owning it and all.
