1. I think war actually helps keep Wall Street afloat, but hurts the rest of us.

3. No, It Won't
Wars cost money, and the only way to pay for the war would be to make the dollar even more worthless which would leave to major economic instability at home.

For example, the price of fuel would skyrocket, and grind ground transportation to a halt. Your entire paycheck would be devoted to just getting you to work.

2. The System Has Already Collapsed
A war with Iran would prevent any sort of recovery from the collapse.

6. With what Army?
We don't have the $$ or the force, except bombs.

It's just a lot of saber rattling.

B* is busy cutting brush and hunting easter eggs.

7. If we go to war with Iran, then "we the people" need to go to
war with our government. I ain't kidding. Only Congress is supposed to declare war. Any other way is treason as far as I'm concerned. If Congress does declare war, then we need to replace every single one of them.

8. Yes.
Insane as it is, it's what neocons want. They think that out of the ensuing chaos they can in tall a new order that is to their liking: Selling their values to other countries worldwide and killing all those who won't buy them; and a dark ages domestic policy where only the wealthy elite have any authority or financial security, while the unwashed masses gratefully fund their never-ending war machine and supply it with their sons and daughters who will enthusiastically kill and die at their direction.

I'm afraid that if Cheney is able to stir up an attack against Iran before January 2009, he will intentionally park one of our carrier groups to be destroyed by missiles in the Strait of Hormuz, where any who attempt the sailors' rescue will be similarly destroyed. In their way of thinking this would be useful, just as 'another Pearl Harbor was, in getting a reluctant populace to support their dreams of world conquest.

These are truly evil people.

10. $200 a barrel oil
A while back Chavez & Ahmadinejad were discussing what to do with the windfall profits if the US attacked Iran and oil prices spike.

http://moderate.wordpress.com/2007/11/18/chavez-200-oil-if-us-attacks-iran/

I like Chavez a bit myself (he is trying to lift latin america out of poverty) but if we attack Iran not only will we destroy our own economy by pushing oil up to $6/gallon but we will be making Saudi Arabia, Iran and Russia rich due to their oil exports.
