1. How is exercising stock options fishy?
It's just a way to make a fast buck, assuming your exercise prices are lower than the current price.

2. I find it odd that she "sold all 14,000 shares on the same day"
That was pretty fast "exercise." Was her exercising those options based on inside information?

3. I thought that was how it worked
you essentially sell the shares back to the company when you exercise them, it's an immediate transaction.

5. That is how it works immediate and paperless

Mellon (usually) just buys, sells, withholds and sends the funds. I don't see what's odd either.

10. Yes I was kidding... your previous comment was irresistable, sorry...
It's not a "scandal" but it's suspicious. In a stock that should be VERY stable, radical fluctuations in its value make me suspicious. With Halliburtons surprising changes in value, she certainly made a quick buck or two or $91,000.

11. You buy & sell on the same day, all stock trans. have one week to "settle", so you
get the difference (spread) in a check. Costs nothing upfront.

8. "Fishy" is another name for jealousy-- she's a director who...
can exercise options and I'm not.
