Overpaid Teachers Ask For Help.
AKELAND | Talks continued Tuesday about ways to help dozens of overpaid teachers forced to repay the School District.

The employees, who are teachers, secretaries and paraprofessionals, learned they were being paid too much, sometimes for several years, after an audit.

In all, the district plans to collect $77,000 it overpaid 53 employees. Thirty-eight employees were underpaid $80,936. The audit revealed that 91 employees were affected.

Hendershot, a third grade teacher at Sikes Elementary, has been told she must repay $10,180 within 27 months, and she is losing credit for five years of teaching experience because of an error made when she was hired.

4. Outrageous! How about george repay his overpayment these past 7 years?
And it was overpayment! We got screwed, big time! Hell as far as that goes, how about the majority of congresscritters pay back their salaries. For what we received, they were grossly overpaid!

... they can help out a few teachers with a few thousand bucks.

Oh ... never mind. :eyes: The teachers aren't part of the Good Ol' Boy Network.
