A word of appreciation for you all (well, most of you!)

I am amazed at the activity on this site and the speed at which new articles are posted. I am dependent on the internet for my news (I live abroad), and find the quality of informational posts here first-rate.

Having said that, I'm falling behind in my work! The site is addictive! Is there a way I can deny myself access for several hours at a time?? (That is a serious question, by the way.)

3. I know what you mean, but am happy to hear that you find the info good.

We are in a bit of a commercial news blackout, or it seems that way to me. We used to be able to get the news on tv, but now it's snippets repeated endlessly, without context or development. We are being dumbed down, and how much farther there could be to go is a puzzle!

About staying off, I recall a program I came across that tracks the time spent at different websites. It was intended for billing purposes but could be used to monitor your own use. Knowledge is power, politically and personally, right?
