Richard is a friend of mine I recently tried to contact (again), after circumstances took us to different companies.
A web search shockingly brought up an obituary. He was only 51 or so.
Richard worked with me at a major consumer products company. Together, we made the key part of a major product (can't get it now, but you could then).
Richard hated Bush.
He was a rennaissance man in many ways. Spent time in London, loved the pubs.
Knew more about astrophysics than I can even consider.
We made a great team of two engineers - if he didn't know something, I did, and if I didn't know something, he did, and I always gave the math problems to him, which he just relished.
Music, many more things. I probably don't know the least of it.
Goodbye, Richard, and hope you are in the cosmos somewhere, eating it up.
Love,
- t
