Joe Scarborough makes me sick
Reverend Wright, racism, Obama behind, McCain ahead, and that snarky smile of his.

Beating the morning drum for Reich wing views better than FAUX could ever hope for. And that bobble head next to him letting him get away with it.

MSNBC should be ashamed of the way they are treating this campaign. The partisan bullshit Scarborough spews is WORSE than Tucker because it's blunt and verging on cheerleading.

That is all

2. The Racism Is Sickening...
One of my closest friends is black...and for years we've looked at how the corporate media has a benign racist view of things...attempting to either marginalize or generalize about the black population and experience in this country. They annoited Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as (this is his words...) "King Of the Negroes" and always portray the black community as violent and lazy. It all but ignored the rise in the black middle class in the 90s and the diversity in that community as there is in others. All they saw was skin color and stereotypes. My friend calls this being a "black man in a white man's world".

Few can understand the 1950's and 60's Chicago Reverend Wright grew up in...a highly segregated city where redlining and the "seperate but equal" led to a new form of slavery for most blacks. This was the world Dr. King fought against and one can hear similar themes in Rev. Wright's words as one would hear in a Dr. King sermon of the late 50's. While things have changed, they still stay the same, and it's people like Reverend Wright who speak to the community to remind them of where things were. As my Jewish bretheren and sisters would say "Never Again".

After Senator Obama's speech, I dared to jump into the hate radio cesspool and all I heard were rich white guys saying how "this wasn't good enough" and couldn't play the most inflmatory parts of Reverend Wright's sermons...rising the fear of the "angry black man"...the race card out in the open and I find it so sickening that so much hatred and intolerance can easily rise to the surface and it's not only tolerated on our airwaves, it's encouraged.

My hopes are others are getting as offended and sickened by the overt racism being injected into this campaign and this tactic backfireds on all those attempting to play it.

One quote that has played in my mind over the past week is from Malcom X: We didn't land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock landed on us.

3. Every single day I e-mail his show....
every single day I call them out.

I've stopped listening... it makes my head explode.

He needs to move over to Faux News...

6. Is it my imagination, or has he just taken a new, violent jag to the
right in this past week? I've always considered him to be a rightie, but he seems positively rabid this week... Has he been shoe-horned into Tucker's old shoes or what?

8. He's a Republican using his media position to politic for Republicans
The media is, again, in the tank for the Republicans. Is Hillary over Monica Lewinsky? Does Barack hate America? Isn't John McCain the straight talking maverick with the experience that America wants? And over and over and over.....

9. he's been appalling this week
His hysteria over Wright has been completely over the top and borderline race baiting. He puts himself in the place of a working class guy from the 'heartland' in order to spout the racism and white hysteria of someone else so he, I suppose, thinks he ends up with clean hands. It's a disgusting trick and no one is fooled. He's been the worst of the talking heads this week, even worse than Pat Buchanan.

Yet when Rachel Maddow dared criticize McCain yesterday for his Sunni/Shia confusion he almost snapped her head off, screaming that it was 3 o'clock in the morning and it's totally understandable he'd be tired. Huh? This war will be a huge issue for the next president and McCain doesn't seem to understand even the most fundamental elements of it but that's off limits for ol' Joe!

And he's sooooo good he shows up on MSNBC not only for three hours in the morning but all freaking day! Yes, you can tell what's about to happen to either one of our candidates and it won't be pretty.
