It would make an interesting article, or even a television game show.

5. The only thing good ... |
|
to come out of the Reagan years was the "Made in America" campaign.
This campaign was about spending a little more for the products that are made in the USA. The result was better quality, and keeping jobs in America.
Now, it is exactly the opposite. Buy cheap crap and move American jobs over seas.
Cheers Drifter

When we take the kiddos to visit their grandparents, the kids like to play with my husband's toys from the 1970s. Almost all of them say Made in USA. I wonder if ANY of our current toys were made here? :(
A friend of mine bet a guy $100 that he couldn't find a single Made in USA item in the Walmart toy section a couple years ago. He spent a couple hours looking, and found none.

I'd eliminated the pliers and toothpaste. Medicine comes from China , why not tooth paste. Filters , they are cheap, not a surprise. Want to find nothing made in the USA, look at the stuff covering your body. If you wear only US made clothes, you'd better next join a nudist colony. Exception. New Balance shoes. If you wear New Balances' you might not be totally naked.

especially upscale ones. You can still find a few pieces of vintage clothing that were made here. And if, like me, you sew, you can honestly say that the clothes were made in the USA. Sadly, the fabric now usually comes from elsewhere.

26. Oh jeez. You should see the weird crap in our kitchen. |
|
My wife is a lovely lady...and I love her dearly...but... In various drawers...half a dozen lipsticks, a dozen bottles of fingernail polish (and polish remover), a pair of panty hose (in the package), some mardi gras beads, something that looks like a buttonhook (I have no idea. We haven't worn high-button shoes in years.;-)), a half dozen soda bottle caps (in case we buy uncapped soda?), a rubber stamp (wedding bells), dental floss, some old junk mail, and on and on.
She has a chest of drawers in our bedroom, bedside table with drawers, and a whole bathroom of her very own with vanity, drawers, cabinets, wall cabinets.
Why is all this crap in the kitchen? I don't ask and we maintain a happy and strife-free relationship. :-)

15. I doubt anything in mine is "Made in USA" |
|
:sigh:
Out of all the things I carry on my person at my job, only three are Made in USA: my Buck knife, my Leatherman, and my Chap-Stick. iPod, cell phone, pants, socks, boots, shirt, belt, wallet, Swiss army knife, underpants... mades Someplace Else.
Well, I guess the money in my wallet, my driver's license, and maybe some of the credit cards are made here, too, but that's getting picky.
<sigh>
