David Gregory's new show on MSNBC: Bitterly disappointing |
|
He does nothing to counter the RW smear media machine.
In fact, he is a part of the problem.
He has repug Joe Scarborough on every day, dominating the discussion and the tone of the show.
He has no backbone.
Can they please cancel him and put Rachel Maddow on instead?

8. Verrrrrrry interesting ... I think we have a winner here |
|
Gregory does broadcast from D.C. but I wonder how often he'll show up in the briefings now that he's probably doing show prep.
I've likewise been absolutely disappointed by this show. I was expecting better from Gregory but what we've gotten is just "Tucker" with a different host.

With all the shit this administration has done, and they're still walking around free, I think we're all just counting down the days.

But I agree, it turns into the Joe Scarborough show. It's horrible.

It's more of the same garbage with more of the same people spewing more of the same crap. It appeals to the same people who have kept this networks ratings at the bottom and features the characters who ensure it will stay that way. But it is better than the unmitigated feces that spewed nightly from Bow Tie boy's pie-hole.
I just laugh at how the mighty has fallen. When he was going after Snotty every day, Gregory was a DU heartthrob. People were demanding he get a show. Then he danced with the Rover and the romance ended.

13. Can't Waste My Time Watching MSNBC Anymore |
|
I still kind of tune into Countdown, but lately, it seems like even Keith has jumped the shark.
Whether it's all the new gimics he has, or his sudden infatuation for Mr. Obama, the show just isn't the same for me any longer.
I've finally realized that all the "news" networks are about is SPIN. I don't need that in my life.

With him, you knew you were getting RW propaganda. Gregory is probably viewed as a more honest broker yet the GOP crap is nonstop on his show. Scarborough just shouts down the other guests and does nothing but hammer on Obama. If Hillary was the likely nominee he'd be bitching nonstop on her, too.
I was repulsed when, after pounding Obama for the first half of the show tonight, they came up with the promo, "Is McCain a mensch?" and blabbering about how McCain may pick up a big part of the Jewish vote - despite his gaffe this week in Israel comparing Purim to Halloween.
The whole show is a joke, a Republican whorefest complete with racebaiting and whipping up white hysteria. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe it. Just war profiteer General Electric doing their part to elect John McCain.

17. I wish someone at MSNBC had the guts to tell |
|
Joe Scarborough to let someone else talk occasionally. The man is so in love with his own voice that he interrupts and talks over everyone else. And, you know, what he has to say just isn't that interesting. We want to hear John Ridley and Mika and all we get is Joe blather. He really embarrassed himself on Bill Maher's show. The guy is a boor. A lout. Joe, shut the f^%k up!

19. I checked in to see what it is all about, and there was SnakeLips |
|
Scarborough saying the same crap, so I decided we need to hope Snake Lips will be "Tuckered". Then lo and behold, there is Snake Lips on Tweety, etc. Tucker on HairBall, Tweety on Scarborough. Jeez, they need a fresh new wind. Soon they will be complaining about how no one is watching enough tv, so that is why they are going on 24/7 Brittney coverage.

21. Not surprised -- he literally danced with Rove. Also -- |

-- after his "romp with Rove," he was one of very, very few "outsiders" invited by Bush to the WH dinner held for Queen Elizabeth during her visit. Video (of a presstitute in flagrante delicto): http://www.alternet.org/blogs/video/79401/?comments=view&cID=855047&pID=854831
