to be a part of this forum when i even dare to look over in GDP. its really really sad.
theres no discussion anymore, just outrageous attacks...
that happens tho when u have two canidates who are almost identical policy wise... leaves little to go after each other with besides personal CRAP.
what a sad state of politics we are in.
and to think i thought the participation of more people, especially young people(my age group), would be a great thing but i see its just added the bully 'my teams better than yours' mentality.
its not a fucking game.

truer words were never spoke
my mother-of-all-conspiracy-theories has Sesame Street, Survivor, American idol, etc. all part of a grand scheme to dumb down the electorate to the point they can be readily manipulated by Madden-like "tastes great"/"less filling" slogans. Like throwing a handful of corn into a chicken coop. Or maybe like throwing a rubber snake - whatever.
The absolute mindlessness, lack of the barest modicum of critical thinking, is astonishing. Al Gore put it well in "The Assault On Reason" but he neglected to assert it was part of an intentional effort, as I believe. I would venture to say that maybe ten percent - if that - of the population is capable of understanding a sentence based on the words in contains and the sequence in which they are arranged. The rest just pick out one or two words and make up their own reality as they see fit.
