Bill Maher and his comments last night.

Bill really got it wrong, when he addressed the Spitzer thing, IMHO. I know most of what fuels the majority of his sexual comments are based on the fact that he is not married and never will be. I forgive him that, he's also ignorant when it comes to what being a parent entails, all of these things are excusable, because of sheer ignorance- really, but for him to say that "...what was Spitzer going to do? You NEED sex,,blah, blah, blah, is just wrong!..He was almost blaming the wife, saying that after 20 years you don't want to have sex, well, now, that's not always true by any means. And even if his wife wasn't putting out, or however men like him describe these things, there's no need to make the leap that well-he just HAS to get laid! You've got to be pretty damned horney to put out that kind of money just to get your rocks off! Whatever happened to masturbation? Why can't men like that just keep it to themselves, if they don't plan on divorcing? But we don't know about the Spitzers...we don't know that they were having distance in the sack. I've known MARRIED guys that could screw every night as many different women as they could get away with, with hardly a thought towards the consequences. Maybe Spitzer's wife was okay with it, maybe she knows he is a sexual addict, maybe it's none of the above, but Bill was offbase with his- You HAVE To have Sex!" No, you don't! YOu don't always have to have that pocket snake inside a woman!!!

11. Getting one's scrotum twisted and/or stretched. Usually with leather/rubber straps w/ or w/o weights
It's an element of sexual B&D stimulation for some. I heard on Steph Miller's show that it was one of Elliot S's delights, and one of the "escort's" specialties.

One man's pain is another man's pleasure.

2. Ok! I haven't watched Real Time yet and intend to do later tonight. I've been pissed at Bill since
his return and I guess this will make me even more angry with him.

When it comes to sex, he is as immature as they come. Just remember, Bill Maher with his pocket snake inside Ann Coulter. Now IMHO, that is desperate and disgusting!

:puke:

9. i know people with totally healthy and fun sex lives still screw around on partner
spitzer could have been getting it plenty. we dont know.

maher, we do know, does not have a lot of respect for females and of course he is going to say whatever is the least flattering to a female.

10. I couldn't care less about pols' sex lives; & if everyone agreed,
it would be COMPLETELY irrelevant because it wouldn't even be blackmailable.

Good leaders are hard to find. I don't know if Spitzer was good or not; but I do know what I care about is whether a leader effectually carries out constructive, Constitutional policies, not what s/he does with their genitals.

12. Well, he was hypocritical
Even if you don't care about his personal sex life -- you have to admit he seemed to delight in prosecuting prostitutes.

14. Oh, I hear ya,
I just think Maher had it wrong about how he characterized the situation. SPitzer's problems were private in my opinion, however, the truth is he had goods on what the FED Reserve was doing to bail out the Carlyle group, and that is the only reason he was caught-he was being silenced!

13. True indeed
Most of these powerful men need more attention than any one person can give. Even a so-called "dutiful" wife isn't enough -- nor were prostitute after prostitute. Bill's way off base on this issue, as usual. (And yes, way off regarding parenting, too.) He's immature.

My point is, that people like Spitzer CANNOT be satisfied. This isn't about needing SEX. It never is.

15. Bill Maher is a misogynist idiot who no intelligent
woman would have anything to do with for 5 minutes. He has the emotional maturity of a 12 year old boy, and thats on a good day. So that pretty much limits how good the conversation on his show can be on a lot of subjects.

16. I don't understand why anyone watches him.
I can not stand him, haven't watched him for over a year. It seemed to me that maybe he was on the right side of some things but he was such an overbearing asshole that I couldn't stand to listen to him and then the guests he had on were generally as inane as himself. Oh, and not a person on earth could get a word in edgewise without him interrupting not to mention that virtually every conversation had to somehow involve a gay perspective, always introduced by old Bill himself. I got sick of him pretty quickly.

17. What about the scrotal torsion this country is going to get
now that Spitzer is out of the picture? From all accounts I've seen he was just ramping up a campaign to go after W & Co. and his administration's lack of interest in regulating subprime lowns. Now, Wall Street can go back to their criminal way without having to worry about Spitzer spoiling the party.
