3. 60 years ago this Easter Sunday I hit the ground a running

maybe it was I only got my butt spanked for the first time I can't remember which.;-)
The ole Doc who delivered me trudged through about a foot of snow on horse back for a little more than five miles and barely made it in time for my grand appearance as my Mother told me later that is. If I make it to my 79th bd I'll have a birthday on Easter again.

A Bixby woman gets a worldwide celebration for her 95th birthday.


BIXBY -- Violet Potts was born in Bixby on Easter, March 23, 1913.

Surrounded by family, she will celebrate her 95th birthday on Sunday, the first time since her birth that it has fallen on Easter.

"I'm telling folks that my birthday is Sunday, and there'll be partying all over the world," said Potts, a little woman with a bright smile who lives alone in her own house, and still shops, cooks and plays dominoes at a Bixby community center.

"I decided to stop driving when I was 90," she said.
