"Karla Comfort received a lot of looks and even some salutes from people when she drove from Benton, Ark., to Camp Pendleton, Calif., in her newly-painted, custom Hummer H3 March 2. The vehicle is adorned with the likeness of her son, 20-year-old Lance Cpl. John M. Holmason, and nine other Marines with F Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division who where all killed by the same improvised explosive device blast in Fallujah, Iraq, in December."

Let me tell you something. I had to do an internship for my degree as a Paralegal. I interned with the ACLU. Omaha (believe this one or not) actually had a 'peace demonstration' against those who wanted to start a war in Iraq. Not a huge demonstration, but still. ANYWAY, my biggest and main assignment was to interview witnesses and participants for the ACLU to try to explain not only what happened, but who was to blame. And let me tell you something, that 'incident' was something else. First, the part that involved chasing down marchers by mounted cops and then the marchers being sprayed with tear gas was all started by a damn mounted female officer. Second, the arrests in the old market were because a nasty old man (who had is wife and daughter in the car) hit a female marcher and then went to the cops and said he was attacked and assaulted by this one kid when the kid hit the guy's car on the hood with his fist. AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA, no idea at all how many fucking fools and two legged freak shows I ran into during that investigation. These people were evil (in many cases), self-absorbed, self-deluding pieces of shit that felt fully justified in killing innocent people because their lying government fed them a line of bullshit. They were too lazy to think, to look for the truth, and to come to the realization that THEY were just as guilty for the deaths of old people, children, pregnant women, innocent men, as the liars in the White House and their supporters. And to this day they will never ever ever ever ever admit to themselves that they were wrong, that they have as much to do with dead Americans as they do dear Iraqis. They can't. Their egos and what passes for their 'souls' depend on this charade.

Your words just resonate with me! We had a guy drive up over the curb and try to run us over. We had another guy stop his car, get out in the middle of a busy intersection during rush hour, and scream at us. Then someone called the police and told them WE were blocking traffic! And we were on the sidewalk. Then when the cops arrived they didn't even let us give them the tag number of the guy who HAD blocked traffic.
