I see the Right Reverend of Chicago is preaching in Tampa
Visiting a mostly black church in Temple Terrace, and another in Carrol Woods.

Wonder if this a paid visit like Huck is still getting off his fame of the campaign, and if so who is paying the bill. More Faith Based Charity ??????

1. The churches are not allowed to pay them?
I lived in Temple Terrace, Tampa. It's near the U. of S. Florida. Have fond memories of my days in college. :-)

Wish I could've gone to see Rev. Wright. In fact, I wonder if he's got a schedule and will be doing speaking engagements down here in Florida so I could attend.

(I'm white, by the way)

3. You can probably google
and find it. I think it is Tue in TT and Thursday at CW. I realize the Church cannot pay him. I just wonder who is. You can't support his lifestyle working for free.

7. Who pays preachers?
I've always been against paying preachers, but there are an awful lot of preachers and they're not living on nothing. :-)

10. Who cares? Their headquarters or their religion pays mostly.
They get money from Faith Based funds and their members.

5. Hi Friend!! I loved that area! Remember CDBs Pizza....
I used to get their giant salads. Yum! Had a blast in Temple Terrace/USF! Love Tampa, too.

12. Yes, CDB's for pizza!
Also spent time at the adjacent Coppertop Pub, Cafe Don Jose, Romano's (later the Captain's Table) and of course the old Ache and Stale...er Steak and Ale.

I heard Tampa is now booming and doing quite well as a city. Haven't been up there in a while but have a cousin that moved up there.

Oh by the way, I love the Hyde Park neighborhood of Tampa. You been there?

14. Favorite place to shop
and have lunch, go to the art shows. Lived there for awhile back in the daze (AKA the 70's).
The neighborhood I live in now is somewhat like Hyde Park - older homes, old money (none of it mine), good shopping area and eats nearby.

2. You don't seem to like him,
so why'd you promote him to Bishop?

9. Is this political news? We have many issues to address.
Forget about religious posts on this site. He's not of my religion so I don't give a blank about him or anyone like him.
