The guy has been all over the Msm lately...I know much of it has to do with his recent trips, but don't they usually keep this guy under lock and key? Call me paranoid, but I have a funny feeling about this.

23. Cheney is the R 2008 Presidential candidate. Get used to it already.
They are waiting until the last minute so the Dems do not have time to build his negatives to their true levels.

Cheney/Romney 2008. Prepare yourselves now.

3. There was a post here earlier that talked about Fallon retiring and that...
is cause for much worry by all of us. I also have a very crappy feeling right now about this... It does seem that when Cheney is around, something bad is about to happen.

4. And why the sudden interest in world affairs?
I don't even think I remember him commenting on Palestinian statehood before.

NOW he decides to champion it, less than a year before his term ends?

Something's up.

7. I have a theory about The First Dick's appearances
Edited on Mon Mar-24-08 10:40 PM by lunatica
I've noticed he always comes out of his spider hole when things show signs that their control is unraveling. He suddenly does these ME tours and occasionally speaks at ultra conservative think tanks in a whirlwind of stops in which he holds court for the journalist of his choosing so he can get his message out in pieces. It's his way of speaking in code, whether it's to reassure his stock holder corporations or to threaten those who might step out of line (Congress). He uses the media as if it were his personal email, or telephone. It gets the message out there to everyone at once and it's much faster than talking to one person at a time.

It's like the color coded warnings. It's all about control and power. Nothing more and nothing less.

12. That's part of his message
He knows that when he comes out of his undisclosed hideaway the world sits up and watches his every move. He also knows Iran and Iraq pay particular attention to everything he says and does. We all know that if Cheney hadn't visited the Saudis that they're preparing for a nuclear attack wouldn't get the attention it does with him being there. He sends messages to everyone when he travels or shows his face. To friends, and to enemies.

22. That sounds about right..
the fact that he's building a brand new Mcmansion within spitting distance of the CIA tells me he won't be going anywhere regardless of who wins in November. He'll be the neocon knee-basher for however many years his heart can hang on.

Bushco has basically destroyed the one we have.

Wait. Maybe they will start "stop lossing" Vietnam Veterans.

Assholes!

15. Naval and air power
Can do all the damage they need done. Shock and awe. Eventually they can send Blackwell in, supported by Haliburton. If you have a private army being supplied by a private corporation whose headquarters happen to by in Dubai then Congress can just go screw itself with the Constitution. So can we.

Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran, these monsters must be stopped. Sometimes the tree of liberty needs the blood of tyrants and patriots. Has some truth doesn't it?

19. "So?"
Cheney does what Cheney wants to do. He knew that the 4,000 number was coming soon, and it coincided with the 5th anniversery. He is just out there to "catapult the propaganda"

26. Because he can't hurt * much anymore.
Cheney may be feeling nostalgic about his reign, and may actually want to bask in a bit of media attention before retirement.

And he knows the MSM will never call him on his crimes.
