As we pass the $4.00 mark on gas, it's time to begin reminding the public

I feel somewhat conflicted about this, as I know that our dependence on oil must begin to be weaned and these huge prices will speed that (though painfully for so many people in the interim - especially people living on the edge of poverty) but I also know that McCain will continue the addiction unabated, so I will use this politically and I do believe it's time to print up some appropriate stickers to place on the pumps.

Something like, "Like This?: Vote McCain. He promises to continue the policies that will keep you paying at the pump." Or another one would be two pictures, one with Dubya snuggling with a Saudi and then a picture of McCain snuggling with Dubya. The slogan would be something like "Four more years of this? Well, then, vote McCain. He promises to continue Bush's policies" Another: "Four More Wars? Can we really afford that? McCain, same as Bush, only older."

We can't rely on our broken media. It's time for guerrilla tactics.

Call it a variation on highway blogging. Call it a public service announcement. And yes, I suppose you could call it vandalism. But what they are doing to us is called robbery, so a little vandalism for the cause is acceptable to me.

5. Not going to make a penny off of these

I'm going to print them with my own money and will happily send some to any who would be willing to help with the cause. If it takes off, I will need to charge a small fee to cover the costs but I'll cross that bridge when it comes.

6. In 2006 I printed paper labels

with my desktop printer - 50 per sheet. It was the picture of * kissing the Saudis. I put the caption "After the election gas prices will double". I stuck them everywhere - bathroom walls-gas pumps-restaurant tables. They came off easily. Felt good.
