Is Edwards a super-delegate?
probably a stupid question, but with all the people talking about who he will endorse (and yes, I am aware that there are reasons behind this beyond whether he would be able to vote for them as a superdelegate), I could not remember if he is or not.

I don't think he would be seeing as how he is not a sitting Senator, but someone correct me if i am wrong please.

2. I read somewhere that he is.
You don't have to be in office to be a super delegate. Donna Brazille is one.

I'm not sure though.

9. Braille is on the DNC
and DNC members are super-delegates. North Carolina's party could have conveyed that status on Edwards because of who he is.

7. More Like At-Large Delegate
So much ado about what a delegate is or isn't...and lots of misinformation.

Almost every member of the Democratic party is a delegate in one form or fashion. Senators, Congresscritters, Governors, State Reps...as well as "aparachniks" of the DNC and other party organizations. It's more like a shareholders meeting...different groups hold different types of stock, but they all have just one vote when it comes to selecting the CEO.

Remember, to run in the Democratic primaries, Edwards needed to be a member in good standing with the party. Other candidates also are super delegates as well...all except for Gravel (now that he's left the party).
