I need some help with anti-war slogans.
Edited on Thu Mar-27-08 04:32 PM by soulcore
I'm attending my second peace demonstration tomorrow dressed as an abu ghraib prisoner and I need help brainstorming quotes for my sign. I want something catchy but highbrow, and short enough to be easily read.

So far the only worthy one I have is as follows; "I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends. ~Abraham Lincoln"

That's the only good, original one I've found as of yet, hence the plea for help.Anything revolving around our dehumanization of other civilizations would be most appropriate IMHO.

Thanks in advance.

I really like it to, surprised I just found it today.

The protest is in a college town with some expected news coverage, so I want to say something intelligent and meaningful that hasn't been said 1000 times already. You know how people like to repeat the same slogans.

5. I know what you mean but I've learned that sometimes the pocketbook
is the only way to get peoples' attention. Sad...but true, unfortunately.

6. So true. And issues have to affect them personally.
If their kids faced a draft, they'd pay closer attention to why Bush* wants to wage war.

I'm going with the following, one quote per side;

"I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends. ~Abraham Lincoln"

and then...

"Who would Jesus Waterboard?"

I'll be wearing this.

20. And here they are...
So here's what you can do with some foamcore, a wooden stick, a drill, spray adhesive, twistie ties and a large format printer.

The messages are even interchangeable!
