Is there anything more fun than riding a bicycle past a Hummer Dealership? |
|
It just makes my smugness meter go off the charts.
Post the things you do to help the Earth that are also insanely fun.
(Showering for two is too obvious an answer to even bother posting)

1. Walking home from work |
|
past the backed up traffic. I love it when I play a bit of tag with the cars - they pass me, I pass them, they pass me, I pass them. Depending on the traffic, I often cross at the light at the same time they do after playing tag a few times.

And then flipping him off.

7. I bet the people driving past you in their Hummers also feel pretty smug |
|
After all, that's the reason they purchased it.

I asked the last Hummer owner I saw get out of his penis enhancer how far he'd go to put gas in it.
I asked him if he'd be willing to sell one of his kids into sexual slavery for it.
(I spent 50 bucks on gas last year, zero dollars this year. Car free for 6 years.)

19. I don't know about "insanely fun", lol, but I now walk to Von's market |
|
(10 minutes away) and Trader Joe's (20 minutes away). And they are gonna put a Whole Foods in about 15 minutes' walk from my place. Also, Office Depot and a drugstore and a bunch of eateries are 10-15 minutes away, branch library 15 minutes, Orange Rapid Line (express bus >> subway >> downtown) station 10 minutes.
If the store exteriors were more tasteful and less "Decaying mid-20th Century Tacky" I could pretend I was in Europe.

As I gas up my Civic Hybrid. My four year mileage average is 45.7. Of course, I'd rather be riding my bike, but health concerns have precluded that lately.
