Siegelman Release -Thank you Dem leadership

In this time of great division in the Democratic Party, please let me
say Thank God for this great news and allow me a little leeway in saying
thank you to our Democratic leaders for pulling together and fighting
this incredible injustice.



I know this is a victory for the blogasphere, and I know that the Gov
Siegelman's battle does not end here, and maybe it didn't happen the way
I imagine, but just for this short moment, let me believe that our
Democratic leaders got together, put aside any differences they may have
and worked together like they were part of DC Comics Justice League and
went to bat for a fellow Democrat. I imagine lots of behind the scene
phone calls, and off the record visits. Like I said, it may not have
happened this way, but let me dream a little.


I want to believe in (and donate too) the Democratic party. I want to
believe that our elected leaders care about the party and their fellow
Democrats, especially when such a horrible miscarriage has been allowed
to happen. I want to believe in being a Democrat and what it means to be
a Democrat, and I want to believe that my leaders not only feel the same
way, but will act accordingly and fight for us. So for today, I say
thank you for not cowering to tyranny. And I know that I will get some
replies telling me to snap out of it, but at this moment, I really
believe it. Thank you to all party leadership that had the courage to
become involved in this horrific matter.
