Overheard conversation today

Couldn't help but overhear this asshole carry on today. As he spoke he got louder and louder. The first thing I heard that got my ear was that Liberals don't want to be called liberal. Oh Really? News to me.

My wife wouldn't let me inform this asshole other wise.

This stupid f$%#er was arguing with a woman and all he could do was spout right wing bullshit about welfare should be eliminated and those lazy bastards (his words not mine) should just get jobs.
The longer I listened the sicker I became. I was restrained by my wife from telling this guy what an asshole he was.

3. I keep telling my right wing coworkers that 40% of their fed taxes

go to the military industrial complex. They don't bat an eye, and keep going on about how lazy people are on welfare and that they're "taking our money." Fucking idiots.

5. I have a coworker who think that the economy

isn't bad because the stock market hasn't crashed. When I point out all the other information and the fact that it's been oscillating for weeks, he said that it's just far left spin. He just can't see it any other way than his. Because he is doing fine, he can't imagine that other people aren't. Sad. I think that the difference between Repubs and Dems is that we can empathize with people, so we know that while we may be living well, others are not. And its not that hard to look around and see. They, on the other hand, refuse to see that there's more to surviving than simply having a job, especially these days.
