Siegelman: Has anyone heard one word on the morning programs
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 06:44 AM by rateyes
about Siegelman's release and the implications of this story? I haven't. So much for the "news" being "news" and the "liberal media." Liberal media, my ass.

3. Who?
The only reason I know anything about this is because a few DU'ers had a post about it last night.

2. Not that I recall this morning but they really aren't a 'good' news source...
Edited on Fri Mar-28-08 07:01 AM by Breeze54
They had Dean on every channel and some 'personal stories' and they briefly talked
about Iraq and the uptake in violence and the weather, the weather, the weather. :eyes:
I've almost given up on them. It's like background noise to me lately and I prefer
progressive radio these days. I did a search on the NYT and found this from yesterday:

Jailed Ex - Governor Sought for Testimony

March 27, 2008 - By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-Siegelman-Democrats.html?scp=1&sq=Siegelman%27s+release&st=nyt

...request for a temporary release but said that officials might arrange for Siegelman's testimony in some other...jail.''
A member of Siegelman's defense team, meanwhile...year began reviewing Siegelman's 2006 corruption conviction...

8. The media is a tool of the Republican-corporate
The media is a tool of the Republican-corporate government. Last night CNN's Wolf Blitzer had on Glen Beck and then Carl Rove. There was a time when you could trust CNN to deliver a somewhat fair broadcast. Why would CNN consult those guys on any issue? Why would they dignify them in this way? These guys have zero credibility unless CNN awards it to them. This media control has me sick, literally sick.

11. Heard it on the 8 am NPR news this morning
Of course, it had nothing about the bogus nature of his conviction and imprisonment, only that he was being released while on appeal. Nothing more.
