Constitutional Lawyer Calls For Sending US Citizens To Guantanamo
Ok. So I listen to “AM Hate Radio” as I drive in my car. I find it interesting (it would be terrifying if they were not so desperate) to listen to the extent to which the right wing extremist believe only they love America and only they know what is right for USA.
The radio program I happened to be listening to originated from New York City on Wednesday (26 Mar 08). The emcee (who once was the Chief of Staff for an Attorney General during the Reagan presidency) of the show was spewing his hate for how really off the chart dumb the ‘conservative’ candidate from the non-Democratic party was.
The host of the radio show stated this dummy (the candidate) did not get it because the candidate had said he was opposed to and would close the concentration camp in Cuba. The mouth piece had the nerve to state that he, the mouth piece, was a constitutional lawyer. He knew as a constitutional lawyer how important it was to have and use the camp in Cuba to keep the enemies out of USA. (Of course the constitutional lawyer fails to say just how the disappeared who have been being held in Cuba for four plus years could possibly know anything of value after being held for so long. But this is unimportant because they are _accused_ of being terrorists.)
During the same show, on a later segment, the constitutional lawyer (radio host) wanted three people sent to Guantanamo camp because they had gone to Iraq prior to the beginning of the current Iraq war/occupation. (A news story was reporting that the Iraq secret intelligence service had secretly paid for trip of three members of Congress to go to Baghdad. The three may not have known who paid for the trip.) None of this mattered to the constitutional lawyer. The radio announcer was unhinged and screamed, he wanted them sent to Guantanamo simply because they were involved.
The RW have lost (and they know it) and I am very happy. Except that they may yet pull a coup d'etat against my government, I say let them rant.
Thank you. I had to vent.

I can not longer listen to the Cons. I makes my stomach turn and my blood pressure go way up.
Any lawyer would know the law and the Constitution. They'd know it is wrong, illegal, and evil. Many of the so called "experts" we see on TV and hear on radio today are "play acting".
I once heard an outrageous "expert" professor on CSPAN who was supposed to teach at Washington University. When I found his name on the university site as teaching staff, he was a "guest professor" and not on the permanent staff at all. You see them all the time from various universities on CSPAN. Universities are now being corrupted just like our other institutions by these Cons.
Boot click. It's all a fear tactic to put us in line with their Fascism agenda.

5. Which Constitution you Ask |
|
The Enabling Act
The second Enabling Act, passed on March 23, 1933, was the second stepping-stone after the Reichstag Fire Decree through which Adolf Hitler obtained dictatorial powers using largely legal means. The formal name of the Enabling Act was Gesetz zur Behebung der Not von Volk und Reich ("Law to Remedy the Distress of the People and the State"). It was terminated for four years (and should also lose force should another government be appointed) but was renewed in 1937, 1941 and 1944. In contrast to the Enabling Act of 1923, this Act covered changes to the constitution, excepting only the existence of the Reichstag, the Reichsrat and the office of President.

6. Don't be so dismissive of them. If they say they want to incarcerate dissenters, take them at their |

word. Be prepared for what they may try to do.

Never think these people don't mean exactly what they say
Never think they are too "lunatic fringe" to ever gain real power

8. You're a better man than I, Gunga Din. The other day, I was driving Mrs R's car |
|
(which has a radio that's inexplicably hard to tune to a specific station), and a station was on that had the Rush Limpballs show. I thought, hey, I'll listen for a bit to see what the jerkoff has to say today, just so I'll know what to expect to hear from the next rightwinger I run into...but I just could NOT do it. Two minutes of trying to listen had me scraming "Fuck you, you fat fuck" at the radio, and shutting it off.
Thank you for listening to that crap so I don't have to.

13. I can't stand to listen to that shit. It really has a negative effect on my outlook and my day. |
|
It's hard for me to take that that shit exists in our society. It is divisive and that's it's purpose. That's how it makes money for the sponsors. Then there are those who only here that crap and think it is truth or something.
