Does anyone else notice an increase in military air traffic?

3. Maybe the military can save the nation and save the planet from the Neocons.
The U.S. has become a banana republic, but one that is uber-powerful.

4. More likely that Operation Nukular Slapdown is happening.
Bush wants to cement his legacy as the Preemptive President.

11. After 911 how can we trust them to do what is in our best
interest? We are watchful and fearful of every move.

2. Strange...
I live in Galveston, TX, and on the way in to work this morning 2 fighters took off from our local airport and headed towards Houston.

8. We live right under the flightway from Westover to Dover, and I haven't heard many
C-5s or 141s or 130s flying over in the last few days; when there's an increase in "activity" I usually notice it.

Though I WILL say that I've seen far more helicopters than usual in the last few days. That may not mean anything, because a many of the shakedown flights of new helicopters from Sikorsky go over us...so I can't offer an opinion about whether "something is up" or not.

But if I see the MH-130s going over tonight with only their formation lights on, as I've seen before, I'll know. And will advise accordingly.

Redstone

13. Its also nearly the end of the month
when I was in the Marine Corps I was in the Air Wing and since we are just getting out of winter and alot of strange bad weather many pilots may not have all of their monthly fight hours in. They have to fly a min of hours in order to get flight pay, I forget what that amount is but that could explain it. Also, regarding the poster that stated 2 jets took off from their local airport, it could be that they were on a cross-country flight. On fridays we would always send 1 or 2 birds on a x-country flight so pilots could log some flight time. Sometimes they were headed to another military airfield for some air to air or something. Its time to get worried when you see a whole squadron fly out at once.

15. Interesting. I didn't know that.
But that might explain the activity I've seen today.
