When does a presidential nominee

I'm very interested to see who McCain will choose, since I just saw a thread saying Condi has floated the idea she'd consider it if she were asked.

Even if everyone knows who they are going to pick, they almost always make it official at the convention.

Both the nominee AND the VP were announced at the convention. It's only fair. We need to allow time for all the primaries, and to fully vet the candidates.

Patience is a virtue many on DU are short on.
