I know some would. And you can bet the Chinese would try to exploit racial and religious divide just like Bush is trying to do in Iraq. But just how successful would China be in convincing most Americans to kill their own brothers and fathers when it came down to it? My guess would be not too good.

That is what Bush is trying to pull off in Iraq.

If you stop and think about it is the kind of scheme that should ever be successful? Sets a bad precedent for the entire world.

The only bad part (besides the invasion, of course) is Bush's approval would go up to 91%, and McCain would easily win 49 states and 500+ electoral votes, no question about it.

And we're still heavily at war by November, Republicans won't have to steal the election. They will easily win, no-contest at all. If we were in a "good war" (a necessary war where WE were invaded), no way in hell McCain loses to anyone, even Jesus. Obama would be lucky to get 60% of DEMOCRATS.

17. A couple things that need to be clarrified here

1.- As somebody posted above this is Imperialism, been there done that... hell ask Cortez... he did exactly that when he used Tlaxcalan troops to attack Tenochtitlan.

2.- The Iraqi Army we "built" is essentially the Badr brigades... allied with Iran...

The Sadr is the resistance... and both are shia and members of different CLANS.

So it is far more complex than the question you just asked
