4. The bad thing was, it was with a customer/co-worker's father, he is

of the idea that "communists" are running our country and unions are pocketing all our money. I had to walk away or I would probably be unemployed right now.

2. Sounds like my workplace. So, I guess the question to them is

"Do you want to have the same kind of government we've had the last 7 years?" And if they're answer is yes, then they are helpless and with no hope whatsoever.

that the last 7 years has give us so much ammunition to bring to the discussion. The bad news is that the last 7 years has give us so much ammunition to bring to the discussion. If I am talking with a "reasonable" person, I can guide them to the light. If they are hip deep in Kool Aide, I walk away after letting them know how hopeless they are. I wont argue with blissful ignorance.
